Operations Manager – IT Services / ERP Solutions

Kothapet, Hyderabad, India

Role Summary

We are looking for an Operations Manager who will take complete ownership of day-to-day execution and internal operations of our IT / ERP services company.

This role works directly with the Founder and acts as the execution backbone of the organization — ensuring projects move on time, teams follow process, and daily operations run smoothly, so leadership can focus on growth, marketing, and strategy.

This is a hands-on role, not a reporting-only or idea-only position.

Key Responsibilities

1. Day-to-Day Operations Ownership

  • Own daily execution across projects and internal teams
  • Track project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies
  • Ensure tasks are planned, assigned, and followed up
  • Identify bottlenecks early and escalate risks proactively
  • Ensure nothing is blocked due to lack of coordination

2. Project & Delivery Management

  • Monitor project progress against scope, timelines, and approved hours
  • Ensure Change Requests (CRs) are identified and processed correctly
  • Prevent scope creep through disciplined execution
  • Coordinate between sales, functional consultants, and developers
  • Support smooth project kickoff, execution, and closure

3. Team Management & Discipline

  • Run daily / weekly internal syncs
  • Track attendance, availability, and workload
  • Ensure team follows SOPs, timesheets, CRM, and approvals
  • Handle first-level people issues and performance follow-ups
  • Build execution discipline without micromanagement

4. Process & SOP Implementation

  • Help document and refine SOPs with the Founder
  • Enforce usage of defined tools and processes
  • Improve operational efficiency through structured workflows
  • Ensure consistency across branches and teams

5. Reporting & Founder Communication

  • Provide clear, concise updates to Founder:
    • What’s on track
    • What’s delayed
    • What’s risky
    • What needs a decision
  • Share weekly operational summary and metrics
  • Be the Founder’s eyes and ears inside operations

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery
  • Coordinate presales support and implementation readiness
  • Support onboarding of new hires and interns
  • Assist in branch expansion and replication of processes

What This Role Does NOT Own

(To set expectations clearly)

  • Company vision & long-term strategy
  • Pricing philosophy and final commercials
  • Marketing content and branding decisions
  • Final hiring and firing decisions

(These remain with the Founder.)

    • IT services
    • ERP / software implementation
    • Project / operations management
  • Experience working in small or mid-size companies preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong execution mindset
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Ability to manage people and priorities
  • Process-oriented thinking
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving, early-stage environments
  • Ability to say “no” when process or scope is violated

Preferred Background (Any One)

  • Operations / Delivery Manager in IT services
  • Project Manager in ERP / software company
  • Senior functional consultant ready to move into operations
  • IT services lead with strong coordination skills

Compensation & Growth

  • Competitive fixed salary (based on experience)
  • Performance-linked incentive tied to operational KPIs
